Let me ask you a question. Have you ever seen a trend in the foodservice industry or within CPG that you wish your company was taking advantage of. OR, you have offered a suggestion to the company just to have them shrug their shoulders at you?

This role provides you the chance to make a lasting impact on the industry, the entire field sales force, on your company AND for yourself! (The last person we placed into this role is now a VP of Sales within this multi-million dollar company.)
So what are we talking about here?
Armed with your 4 - 10 years of Foodservice or CPG Sales and Business Development successes, you will bring your understanding of the Foodservice industry and its needs into a Sales Planning role for the company's Foodservice channel.
Having been in field sales yourself, you clearly understand what is needed to make the day-to-day life of salespeople, brokers and distributors easier (and successful). How many times have you experienced "top down driven" programs that actually make your job harder? That is what our client wants to eliminate.
You have the chance to listen to the customers, listen to the brokers and distributors and your own salespeople to actually create programs that bring value.
In doing so, you will work cross functionally within the organization (R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales) to create ideas and plans that can be implemented.
If you have 5-10 years of Foodservice / CPG sales experience

Hugely Successful Recent Promotion (Created by the person in this role for a different market channel): The OFFICE WELLNESS program.
People spend more time at the office than just about anywhere else. So it follows that more bacteria and germs are picked up at the office than just about anywhere else. The garbage cans where someone threw away the tissues after blowing their nose. The sinks, the bathrooms, phones, keyboards and the list goes on endlessly. Did you know that your computer keyboard and your mouse have more disease carrying germs than the toilet seat?
Every January, February and March millions of dollars of lost productivity occur when people are out sick. Health costs go up because people are using the health insurance.
So instead of just saying, "My disinfectant is better than their disinfectant or my wipe is cheaper than their wipe," let's create an OFFICE WELLNESS program. This program consists of all of the right products, the right container sizes, the right literature, the right training, etc. to make it EASY for your field sales force, brokers and distributors to successfully call on and close deals with large office complexes and buildings.
