Health & Safety Manager – Operations - Maintenance

For health and safety professionals who enjoy a tough engineering problem and who love solving complex problems with creativity and tenacity, our client's Health & Safety team may be the right place to for you.


This dedicated and talented team is led by the H&S Director with three H&S Managers for each of the different business units.  This position will play a key role in directing internal clients regarding regulatory and company compliance requirements and other matters pertaining to health and safety.  This will be accomplished by supporting full contract operations at more than 50 municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, public works departments, and private groundwater treatment systems across the country.


    • To assess health & safety needs and risk,
    • To implement safety programs and policies
    • To assist in creating systems, procedures, and tools necessary to effectively implement corporate safety programs and policies


  • BS Degree in safety science and related certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) preferred

  • 7+ years direct safety experience

  • Experience conducting comprehensive safety audits and developing Health & Safety training material, site-specific safety plan development and technical review

  • Management of incident investigation process

  • Performance of client-requested Health & Safety information for RFP submittals and annual/quarterly performance reviews

  • Experience with water/wastewater systems and electrical safety strongly preferred

  • Experience with Health & Safety Management systems

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of time.
