Giving your Consent
Most employers today, even the smaller ones, are requiring candidates to provide "background" information, e.g., credit history, Motor Vehicle Report, criminal background check, education attainment (degrees awarded, areas of specialy), etc. However, since virtually all of this information is confidential, candidates must first give written consent to prospective employers before they can acquire this information.
